Sealtite
The Most Complete Line of Pre-compressed Sealants

Sealtite VP  is composed of polyurethane, micro-cell foam waterproofed with a hydrophobic, flame retardant, acrylic polymer compound that is UV stable and chemically resistant. Sealtite VP works under its own constant internal pressure to provide a permanent, watertight seal eliminating costly water damage. Sealtite VP is a premium quality "breathable" joint sealant designed to withstand driving rain to 12psf (69 mph wind) per ASTM E331 & E547.

  • Can be usd in joints up to 8" wide
  • Polyester scrim in PSA resists stretching and twisting during installation
  • Provides a watertight joint
  • Ease of installation, no mess
  • Excellent compression recovery

Unique Properties

  • Resilient and flexible to -40°F (long term)
  • Not based on cheap asphaltic or bitumastic impregnation
  • 10 year warranty or longer by consultation with Schul
  • Allows for up to 100% joint movement
  • Maintenance Free

Limitations

  • Joints must be sized by measuring every 5-7 ft. (1.524 - 2.137 meters) to ensure gap opening is uniform and depth is sufficient for the supplied material.
  • Do not install when substrate or ambient temperatures are below -14°F (-25°C) or above 95°F (35°C) without special procedures from Schul International Co., LLC
  • Store material at a minimum of 68°F (20°C) for a minimum of 24 hours prior to installation, regardless of temperature at location of installation.
  • Store materials in dry, enclosed area, off the ground, out of direct sunlight.
  • Do not install when raining or snowing.
  • Do not unwrap material until ready for installation into joint as packaging maintains material compression.
  • Do not use scrap materials

Not Intended for Joints:

  • Submerged in water
  • In contact with harsh chemicals
  • In roofing applications
  • Joints requiring pick resistance
